This policy explains what information BOQBid collects when you use our website and platform, why we collect it, and the choices you have. We keep it deliberately short and plain.
Information we collect
We collect the details you give us directly — your name, company, work email and any message you send when you contact sales. When you use the platform we also store the project files you upload (drawings, rate libraries, tender documents) and the data derived from them, such as generated Bills of Quantities and priced estimates.
Technical data
Like most websites we record basic technical information: IP address, browser and device type, pages visited and the time of the visit. We use this to keep the service secure, diagnose faults and understand which parts of the site are useful.
How we use your information
We use your information to provide and operate the platform, to respond to sales and support enquiries, to improve accuracy of takeoff and estimation features, and to meet our legal and contractual obligations. We do not sell your data, and we do not use your project files to train models for other customers without a written agreement.
Sharing
We share data only with the service providers who help us run BOQBid — hosting, storage, email delivery and analytics — and only to the extent they need it. Those providers are bound by contract to protect it. We may also disclose information where the law or a competent authority requires it.
Storage and retention
Project data is retained for as long as your account is active and for a limited period afterwards so it can be restored on request. You may ask us to delete your data at any time; we will do so unless we are required to keep it for legal or accounting reasons.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. You can also object to certain processing or ask us to restrict it. Write to us and we will respond within a reasonable period.
Changes to this policy
If we make a material change to this policy we will update the date at the top of this page and, where the change affects you meaningfully, notify account holders by email.
